On behalf of Mr PATRICK ACHI, Prime Minister head of the government the ministry of Trade, industry and Small and Medium sized Enterprises led the laying foundation ceremony of the JB Cocoa processing plant in PK24-Akoupé zeudji industrial area on Thursday june 23rd,2022.

This processing plant unit can initially produce 50,000 tons of Cocoa beans per year. The investment estimate is around 39 Billion Fcfa with 100 personnel and 500 workmen during the construction.

That investment lies in the frame work of PND 2021-2021 Pillar 1 Implementation. That pillar aims at bringing changes which will significanly have impacts on local raw matericals proccessing, namely farm crops, creating by doing this more added value and sustainaible job opportinities.

The government industrialisation ambition should then be based on industrial area so as to give a direction to the installation of industrial entreprises

Let’s bear in mind that the seven (07) targeted axis are :

1. Agro-industry

2. Chemisty and platics

3. Construction equipement and furnish materials.

4. Textile and accessories

5. Pharmaceutical industries and parts manafacturing, car assembly

Rightly Industry ministry recalled governmnt achivements to bestow Abidjan with a modern industrial area of 940 hectares in PK24 Akoupé Zeudji with industrial spaces, socio economic and administrative facilities, professional mission housses,institutes, green spaces and an ecological belt. Moreover investment in Côte d’Ivoire offers opportunities for ECOWAS consumers and someday ZLECAF with 1.3 Billion consumers
