Côte d’Ivoire: Inauguration ‘’Dorado Ivory’’, cashew nuts processing plant with an annual yield of 60,000 tons

Prime Minister PATRICK ACHI, inaugurated ‘’Dorado Ivory ‘’ the cashew nuts processing plant with a capacity of 60,000 tons per year in Toumodi on Friday july 8, 2022.

The plant is built on a land area of 12 hectares with 1020 personnel. It has a creche, a hospital, a restaurant, a dormitory, and a training center .This plant unit represents more than 15 billion FCFA investment. It is endowed with the world’s best standards, extremely productive and competitive.

This plant is built in the framework of an ambitious programme ‘’ an Côte d’Ivoire of solidarity which links economic development to human progress’’. It as well integrates the processing policy of the main farm crops production up to 50%.

For the Prime Minister, the installation of that processing plant is nothing but the guarantee of the relevant government measures to create a sound environment to that cropping, namely the appropriateness of marketing channels and enticing tax and custom measures as well as production subsidies measures.

We have to recall that the country remains the first unprocessed cashew nuts producer with a production reaching 1 million tons in 2021, that to say 25% of the world’s production.

Moreover he made a plea to investors to take part to that formidable industrialization advent of Côte d’Ivoire.
